Spring Break:

Hoy he perdido a alguien.

The Piano. Jane Campion (1992):
Ada: The voice you hear is not my speaking voice - but my mind's voice. I have not spoken since I was six years old. No one knows why - not even me. My father says it is a dark talent, and the day I take it into my head to stop breathing will be my last. Today he married me to a man I have not yet met. Soon my daughter and I shall join him in his own country. My husband writes that my muteness does not bother him--and hark this! He says, "God loves dumb creatures, so why not I?" 'Twere good he had God's patience, for silence affects us all in the end. The strange thing is, I don't think myself silent. That is because of my piano. I shall miss it on the journey.

The Piano. Jane Campion (1992):
Flora: One day when my mother and father were singing together in the forest, a great storm blew up out of nowhere. But so passionate was their singing that they did not notice, nor did they stop as the rain began to fall, and when their voices rose for the final bars of the duet a great bolt of lighting came out of the sky and struck my father so that he lit up like a torch. And at the same moment my father was struck dead my mother was struck dumb! She never spoke another word.

Memento. Por Christopher Nolan:
Leonard: I have to believe in a world outside my own mind. I have to believe that my actions still have meaning, even if I don't remember them. I have to believe that when my eyes are closed, the world is still there. Do I believe the world's still there? Is it still out there? Yeah. We all need mirrors to remind ourselves who we really are. I'm no different. Now where was I?

Smoke (1995):
(Auggie)

The Most Dangerous Game (1932):
Captain: The channel's here on the chart, all right, and so are the marking lights. First mate: Then what's wrong with them? Captain: Those lights don't seem to be in just the right place. They're both a bit out of position according to this. First mate: Two light buoys means a safe channel between the world over! Captain: "Safe between the world over" doesn't go in these waters.
(Directed by: Irving Pichel and Ernest B.Schoedsack)

Blade Runner:

Dangerous Liaisons:
Valmont: No, no, you made an accusation and you must allow me the opportunity to defend myself! Now, I'm not going to deny that I was aware of your beauty. But the point is, this has nothing to do with your beauty. As I got to know you, I began to realize that beauty was the least of your qualities. I became fascinated by your goodness. I was drawn in by it. I didn't know what was happening to me. And it was only when I began to feel actual, physical pain every time you left the room that it dawned on me: I was in love, for the first time in my life. I knew it was hopeless, but that didn't matter to me. And it's not that I want to have you. All I want is to deserve you. Tell me what to do. Show me how to behave. I'll do anything you say. (Christopher Hampton, novel by Choderlos de Laclos)

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

(Ezequiel)

Dead Man Walking. Tim Robbins:
